  1. All classes will be governed by the current AOBA Show Division handbook. Classes may be combined accordingly.
  2. All alpacas entered in the halter classes must be in full fleece. (see #11 below)
  3. A copy of the ARI Certificate of each alpaca entered in the show must be provided.
  4. Each entering Ranch must complete and submit a Disclosure Statement which can be downloaded from www.alpacablastoff.com .
  5. BVDV PCR negative test (or VI negative if before 1/1/2010) for all alpacas will be required for entry to the Exposition Center and must be listed on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (health papers). Direct all BVDV questions to Michael Alpert:  405  990-8205 or awesomealpacas@aol.com
  6. All alpacas attending the show, even those not competing, must be 6 months of age, be ARI registered, micro chipped and have health papers issued within 30 days of the last day of the event.  The alpaca’s name, micro chip number, and negative BVDV via PCR or VI (VI prior to 1/1/2010) must be listed on the health papers.  A copy of ALL health papers must be provided for the show office to keep on permanent record.
  7. Entries in the Get of Sire or Produce of Dam classes are made in the name of the Sire/Dam. A copy of the Sire/Dam ARI certificate must be provided along with the names of the alpacas showing in the class and the name(s) of their owners. Sire/Dam is not required to attend event.
  8. All alpacas entered in group/production classes must be eligible and entered in their respective halter class. A reduced fee is required for Breeder’s Best 3 and Bred And Owned Yearling classes. Get of Sire and Produce of Dam classes incur an entry fee in the name of the Sire or Dam.
  9. The age divisions of youth in Performance classes are based on the age of the handler as of January 1, 2012. The age divisions are Sub Jr. – under 9, Junior 9-11, Intermediate 12-14, Senior 15-19.
  10. Refund Policy: Refunds will be issued if requested in writing by March 16, 2012.  No refunds will be made for any reason after March 30, 2012.  No alpaca substitutions may be made after March 16, 2012.  Substitutions made prior to March 16, 2012 will incur a $25 processing fee.
  11. There will be a shearer on site for exhibitors who wish to have their alpacas shorn after showing.

 

Stalls are approximately 10’x10’ with concrete floor. Shredded cardboard bedding is provided for each stall.  Mats are recommended to go OVER the bedding. All stalls have electricity with water and waste receptacles nearby.  The arena is adjacent to the stalling area all under one roof.  A full hook-up RV Park is on the grounds with showers and laundry facilities. The Expo Center is located at the junction of US HWY 177 & W. Independence Street, in Shawnee Oklahoma just South of I-40 off the Kickapoo Spur. For more information go to: www.AlpacaBlastOff.com

Halter and Fleece Show entries must be postmarked by March 17, 2012 to avoid late fees. Handcrafter’s Spin Off fleece samples must be postmarked by February 5, 2012.

All Event Registration Forms, ARI Certificates, Permission To Show Forms, Disclosure Statements, and Entry Fees (Halter and Fleece) must be mailed to Karon Storm, 2301 S. Peebly Road, Choctaw, OK 73020.
